An exclusive art exhibition by Alila Jakarta during Ramadhan

During the holy month of Ramadhan, Alila Jakarta is proud to present an exclusive art exhibition in collaboration with Noqtah Art, which consists of 10 young, talented calligraphers graduating from the Institute of Al-Qur’an Calligraphy (Lembaga Kaligrafi Al-Qur’an) Indonesia and were voted runner up in the 7th International Calligraphy Competition organized by the Research Centre for Islamic History Art and Culture Head Office in Istanbul, Turkey.
The work of Noqtah Art has been widely spread and recognized in various forms, such as gold plate, brass, copper, stainless, crystal element, painting, writing script, Islambic books, graphic designs, decoration of Qur’an manuscripts, handicraft, inscriptions and calligraphic decoration in the interior and exterior walls at several mosques across the archipelago.
The exhibition will be opened by Eric Faivre, the General Manager of Alila Jakarta, and H.E. Faysal GOUIA, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia, on 18th August 2010. Diplomats, art connoisseurs and Jakarta socialites will be amongst the guest list for the premier evening.

The exhibition is open to public daily from 19th August until 1st September 2010, 9.00 am – 08.00 pm.
